If you happen to meet artist Robin Zingone just one time you're likely going to walk away feeling refreshed. Much like her one of a kind designs, Zingone has a refreshing outlook on design, color, business and life. Her bold images and hip patterns have attracted some of the top manufacturer's and retailers in the country including Target, Hallmark and American Express. Not one to rest on her success, Zingone is juggling a full time licensing business and also actively pursuing an online art site to raise money for the animals impacted by the recent oil spill.

Retailers will soon be making their way to the gift markets in Dallas and Atlanta and will no doubt be bombarded with wonderful ideas for Holiday 2010 gifts. As I was scanning the manufacturer's catalogs some very cute items caught my eye in the C.R. Gibson catalog. I love these adorable napkins with coordinating cheese spreader. These fun sayings are matched with clever graphics and include, He plugged in the lights I did everything else, Three Wise Men - seriously, My idea of a holiday diet is a cookie in each hand and Holiday Cheers. In addition to the napkins, the designs are also available in coasters, purse pads, lunch plates and kitchen towel sets.

So Jodi, you just finished the International Licensing show in Las Vegas, how was it?
I was amazed at all the new manufacturer's that were at the show this year. It was extremely busy the first two days and I've spent the last week just following up. I really liked that the manufacturer's were in different industries as well. We had everything from tabletop, ceramis, to metal ornaments, wine cannisters, canvas and souvenirs.

Graphique de France has secured a license to develop a boxed set of cards featuring the Working Girls original copy and fashion forward illustrations. "We have been following the success of the Working Girls brand and believe this line will be a wonderful addition to our everyday line" said Helen Simmons, Licensing Manager for Graphique de France. The line will debut in July 2010 at the Atlanta Gift Show.

Working Girls Design, Inc. announced today it has formalized a licensing agreement for its Working Girls® brand with Russ Berrie U.S. Gift, Inc. This new partnership will expand the Working Girls brand which debuted at the International Licensing Expo in Las Vegas in June 2009.

n the beginning, most all emotional rapists (ER) are seen as caring, attentive and attractive partners. They are often very skilled socially, have above average looks and are quite intelligent. They may be very complimentary to their partners (targets). The ER may buy them gifts, tell them often how wonderful they are, or excessively brag about the targets to business associates or friends. This is merely a tactic to draw the target in and strengthen their control over a situation. In time, the ER become much less complimentary, they may even begin to critique and pick apart their targets. The target naturally wants to please their partner and hopefully regain the ER's compliments and praises so these simple requests usually are met. They might be things at first like the ER requests the target wear a certain shirt or fix their hair a certain way or the ER takes them clothes shopping so that they can dress in a certain style.

In humans the best known of the prion diseases is Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), which reportedly affects around one person per million per year. In the United States this translates to 250-300 new cases per year. My father died of CJD in February 2008 after a 40 day stay in an ICU unit.
