Mind Control, MK ULTRA and A Course in Miracles

There is much that occurs in our world that we do not see, besides the mystical/spiritual threads that run through us, keeping our hope and wonder alive, there is also the subtle human maneuvering keeping us on a path that may not be our choosing. I’ve often wondered why people choose to manipulate others and it appears to be an elementary question, we manipulate because we can, we manipulate because we like control and we manipulate because we like money. Simple, really. The saddest thing is that most of those in the midst of manipulation do not see what is occurring and later wake up in the nightmare realization that they were used simply to appease the desire of another.
Our world ruled by manipulation, we are told by the media what to wear, how to eat, what pills to take, what is truth and what is illusion and when we disagree and apply critical thinking, then we are the outcast or just strange. The barrage of media images is a form of mind control, whether we choose to see it or not, we attach ourselves to the ideas thrown at us daily and these ideas become the new reality. It seems a lot folks understand that if they see it on television or hear it on talk radio, then it is truth and if they do not see it or hear it in their familiar outlets, then it is surely a non-truth, but truth can be cold and sometimes it hides very well.
Several months ago, after writing an article on Project BLUEBEAM, a conspiracy theory of mind-blowing proportions, I received a handful of emails, from different people, all referring me to the same book. The book is called A Course in Miracles and many refer to it as the “New Age Bible”. The emails detailed how this book and accompanying course had changed their lives, how like me, they used to worry about the state of the world, but now they understood, “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”
A Course in Miracles has an interesting history and it all started when Dr. Helen Schucman, a non-religious Jew began working with Dr. William Thetford in 1958. It seems Dr. Thetford had ties with the CIA and was working on Project BLUEBIRD, which was later rolled over into the MK ULTRA Project. MK ULTRA was a program focused on mind control, it was created in the 1950s by the CIA with the goal to learn ways to manipulate people’s mental states, alter brain function and create Manchurian Candidates often through the use of drugs and hypnosis. Under the MK ULTRA umbrella there were over a hundred sub projects from the 1950s well into the 1970s and Thetford worked on Personality Theory, subproject 130.
