CMA RELEASES FIFTEENTH "CMA INDUSTRY INSITE" EPISODE TOPIC: "THE MUSICIANS OF MUSIC CITY"

Monthly Online Educational Series Can Be Found On CMA's Member Web Site, My.CMAworld.com; New Episodes Posted Third Monday Each Month.

NASHVILLE - The role of the professional musician is the focus of the latest installment of CMA Industry InSite, an online educational series, posted today.

The fifteenth episode, "The Musicians of Music City," is available now and features interviews with Brett James, songwriter/producer/owner, Cornman Music; musician Jimmy Mattingly (Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, The Grascals, Dolly Parton, Steve Wariner); Dave Pomeroy, musician/President, Nashville Association of Musicians, AFM Local 257; Randy Scruggs, musician/artist/record producer; Victoria Shaw, artist/songwriter/producer/owner, SHAW ENUFF Songs; and Mark Wright, President, Show Dog-Universal Music.

This latest installment discusses the differences of a live musician as opposed to a studio musician and how those lines have been blurred over the years.


Episodes are posted on the third Monday of the month. With each new episode, CMA members are able to submit questions to the panel of experts.

The series began as a member benefit designed to provide information about each segment of the music industry in a clear, informative, and entertaining way. Due to the popularity of the series, the CMA Board of Directors saw the importance of sharing these webisodes with non-members as the organization focuses on becoming an educational resource for the community. Non-members will be able to view the first seven episodes in the series on CMA's consumer Web site, CMAworld.com. Episode seven, "Riding the Airwaves of Local Radio," will be posted today. Subsequent episodes will be posted on the third Monday of each month.
