Revered Musician and Composer to Perform Private Concert In Celebration of That Lucky Old Sun Limited Edition Prints, Book & Album Set.

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Art Exchange (SFAE) has announced the release of a limited edition, fine art box set from famed artist Sir Peter Blake in collaboration with legendary singer and composer Brian Wilson. Blake is the English pop artist best known for his design of the sleeve for the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Inspired by music for Wilson´s recent album, That Lucky Old Sun, Blake produced a series of collages to accompany the song collection. A cloth-bound book, hand signed by both Blake and Wilson, completes the unique box set, of which only 1,000 copies exist worldwide. SFAE has acquired the copies through its longstanding relationship with Genesis Publications of London and will have them available for sale at www.sfae.com.

Each SFAE purchaser of a That Lucky Old Sun box set will receive an exclusive invitation to see Brian Wilson´s live performance at the downtown San Francisco gallery. It will be an intimate setting for a small group of collectors and friends of Brian Wilson, and the performance will place guests within a few feet of the music legend and his band. Scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 23, the private performance will include an opportunity to meet Wilson and have him personalize That Lucky Old Sun purchases for collectors.

"We are honored to have Brian visit the gallery and generously spend time with us for this special event," said SFAE co-founder and international art dealer Theron Kabrich. "Brian is the creative force behind some of the most cherished recordings in music history. If someone had told me a few months ago that I would have music royalty performing in my gallery, it would have been inconceivable. Thanks to Nick and Cathy Roylance at Genesis, and Brian´s manager Jean Sievers, we are able to make it happen and are absolutely thrilled to showcase Brian´s recent collaboration with Sir Peter Blake, one of our favorite visual artists and a key figure in SFAE´s collection."

Wilson started singing harmonies with his brothers at home in Southern California in the 1950s. In the early 1960s he began to create some of the most beloved pop records of all time with his band, the Beach Boys. Wilson co-wrote, arranged, produced and performed on more than two dozen Top 40 hits with the group, and had nine consecutive gold albums, featuring such classics as "Surfer Girl," "In My Room," "I Get Around," "Don´t Worry Baby," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "Help Me, Rhonda" and "California Girls."

Currently, Wilson is working with the George Gershwin estate and Disney to record a solo album featuring covers of classic songs by the great American songwriters George and Ira Gershwin. The Gershwin estate has given Wilson access to rare, unfinished pieces of music by George Gershwin, which Wilson will use to craft collaborative compositions unlike anything the world has previously heard. Wilson will follow that with an album of classic Disney songs characterized by his trademark vocal stacks and unique arrangements. Release dates for each album have yet to be determined.
