Michael Jackson's memorial service will take place on Tuesday 7th July at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. In a moving gesture to his fans the Jackson family have stated that 11,000 thousand tickets will be freely distributed to the public.

It is expected that this historic event will surpass the public interest that was seen for even Elvis's and Princess Diana's funeral put together. Hundreds of thousands are expected to turn up in Los Angeles to pay their respects.

Most of Michael's fans will not be able to make it to the event in person and will turn to their TV sets to watch the funeral service.

However, in this new internet video age it is expected that many will use their PC to watch the memorial service live online. Recently online viewing records were made by the 2008 Winter Olympics and Obama's historic Inauguation. Michael Jackson's funeral is expected to surpass those records.

The Telegraph has stated that the funeral will likely be the biggest in entertainment history and draws comparisons to Luciano pavorotti, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley.

The online video blog, webtvhub.com, which reported an influx of hundreds of thousands of visitors for Obama's Inauguration, expects this to be the "biggest live internet video event to date" and that some online broadcasters will not be able to cope with the number of viewers.

The funeral will be broadcast online on the website's of most mainstream news broadcasters, as well as specialized online video sites including WebTvHub.com, Hulu.com, uStream.com, NewTeeVee.com, Stickham.com and LiveStation.com.
