WASHINGTON—Phuong Quoc Truong was sentenced today in San Diego for his role in a scheme by the "Tran Organization" to cheat casinos across the United States, Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney Karen P. Hewitt for the Southern District of California announced. In his plea agreement, Truong admitted that he and his co-conspirators unlawfully obtained up to $7 million during card cheats. PLANO, TX—U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that 40 individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a major mortgage fraud scheme in the Eastern District of Texas. HONOLULU—A federal indictment in Hawaii charging Patrick H. PHOENIX, AZ—Jayal Howard, 40, of Sacaton, Ariz., was sentenced here to 41 months prison, by U.S. District Judge Paul G. Rosenblatt. The facts showed that on July 11, 2008, Howard was driving a vehicle which contained three passengers, including a 12-year-old boy. Howard was driving on the Gila River Indian Reservation.
